Garrigan's
mixed chorus presented their third annual operetta,
Chonita, about the life of a young girl that has to choose between the life of a gypsy princess and a wealthy noble family that would take her in. |

kept busy cheering the Bears on to victory. They worked to boost school spirit by putting posters up in the halls before games and lending their enthusiasm to the student body. |

All-School Play this year was the French comedy "The
Miser" by Moliere. All agreed that it was one of the most entertaining shows yet. Miss Kathleen Griffin was the director. |

Father Donald Ries helped start Garrigan's formal
guidance program this year. The goal was to make sure each student was living up to their potential and becoming responsible adults. Fr. Ries took the title of guidance director along with his many other responsibilities. |

Boys
track became more popular this year as a record forty-seven
members ran for the Bears at their eight major meets. They did quite an outstanding job, especially since the track facilities were not yet finished. |
