Garrigan qualified to make there 20th trip to Nationals by winning their home tournament and Top of Iowa championship.

competed in Chicago June 7 - 11, 2019


Congratulations to the Bears on winning one game at nationals and scoring over 100 points in every game.
Bishop Garrigan was by far the smallest school competing in the tournament.

Saturday 11:30am vs. Brandywine (Michigan) 115 - 190
Sunday 10:30am vs. Valley Christian (Washington) 175 - 225
Sunday 3:00pm vs. Watson Chapel (Arkansas) 135 - 110
Sunday 6:30pm vs. Detroit Jesuit (Michigan) - overall tournament champion 140 - 355
Sunday 7:00pm vs. Scarsdale (New York) - overall tournament runner-up 110 - 345
In addition to competing the team rode the historic Chicago 'L', visited the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum of Natural History, the Loop and Magnificent Mile, and Grant and Millennium Parks. 
They went to  mass for Pentecost at St. Eugene's Church on the northwest side of Chicago.

Team members also enjoyed Chicago deep-dish pizza, Chicago-style hot dogs, Japanese steak and seafood, Greek sandwiches, and Chinese food.
Some saw the play Hamilton, visited the observatory at the John Hancock Building and enjoyed a Chicago White Sox game.
