K K is for the KCCI Schoolnet Weather Station. The KCCI weather station is located high on the roof of Seton School. It brings up to the minute weather information at a moments notice. |

L L is for Liturgies. Catholic Liturgies and other forms of prayer are prepared and celebrated weekly by our students. The Mass is the central point of our Catholic Faith.

M M is for Madrigal, Marching band, and the Math Teams. Every other year during the Christmas Season “Ye Olde Madrigal Celebration” is brought to you by the music, drama and art departments of Bishop Garrigan. The Marching band makes appearances during each football game, the Algona Band Day Celebration, Homecoming parade, and state contest. The Math Teams in grades 6-12 compete in contests throughout the state of Iowa. Of late, many trophies and awards have followed these teams back to Garrigan as the teams have demonstrated their excellence.

N N is for the National Honor Society which recognizes academic excellence at Garrigan. |

O O is for Opus and Opportunity. Each year sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students are able to try out for the regional Opus Choir competition and concert. Our Bishop Garrigan students have the Opportunity to excel in the academic and extracurricular areas of each student’s choosing. |

P P is for the Presentation Sisters, Pride Club, Publications, Parents in Action, and Prom. The Presentation Sisters of Dubuque, Iowa, have long served the students of Bishop Garrigan Schools as well as the people of Algona. Their work and dedication is much appreciated. Pride Club is a reward-based program to better ensure that middle school students in grades 5-8 not only complete their classroom work on time, but that they work together with their classmates in a Christian atmosphere of cooperation. Publications is a group of students responsible for the material that students publish dealing with events happening at Garrigan. Perhaps their biggest venture is Garrigold, the Bishop Garrigan Yearbook. Parents in Action is a group of volunteer parents who are available to help out at Garrgian whatever the need may be. Prom is the annual formal dance held at Garrigan. Dressed in formals and tuxedoes, the students are able to dance the night away. |

Q Q is for Quiz Bowl. Each year Garrigan and Seton have Quiz Bowl teams that compete against other schools in Iowa. Garrigan Quiz Bowl teams have won the right to compete at Nationals on several occasions. |
R R is for Religion, Reconciliation, and Red Ribbon Week. The Catholic Faith is the cornerstone on which the Bishop Garrigan Schools exist. Religion classes are held daily in grades Pre-K thru 12. The sacrament of Reconciliation is held at least twice yearly for students in grades 3-12. In addition, first Reconciliation is held for second graders in the spring of each year. Red Ribbon Week is held each year at Seton. Activities for the week concentrate on drug awareness. |
